Connect Linear

On both plans

  • Live sync from Linear — the board never goes stale
  • Auto-placement on the first render, so you never face an empty board
  • Review tray for issues auto-placement was not confident about
  • Release slices across the whole product
  • An editable backbone — rename, merge, reorder, remove columns
  • Flat price per workspace — nothing is charged per person

Nothing that keeps the board fresh is gated. Gating sync would gate the reason to come back.

Questions worth answering

Why isn't this priced per seat?

Most people who benefit from a story map never edit it. If every extra person cost money, teams would ration access — and a map half the team can see stops being a shared picture of the product. So nothing here is charged per person, and it never will be.

Why only two plans?

Because we do not yet know where the value boundaries are, and inventing them early means charging for fences instead of for the product. When customers show us what a larger plan should contain, we will build that plan. Until then: one product, one price, one decision.

What happens to my Linear data?

It stays in Linear. StoryMap stores where a card sits on the board and nothing else — titles, statuses, estimates, and assignees are read live. Cancel your account and no product data is lost.

How does this compare to Avion?

Avion is a full product-management suite, and its Linear integration starts at $199/month. StoryMap does one thing at $39/month: shows your product on one board. If you want personas, outcome tracking, and multi-tracker support, Avion is the better buy.

Is the free plan a trial?

No — it is the whole product, permanently, up to 150 mapped issues. There is no separate trial and no countdown: evaluate on Free for as long as you like, and pay when 150 stops being enough.

Do you support Jira?

No, and we do not plan to. Linear-only is the product. Supporting a second tracker would double the surface area and halve the polish.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, from the billing portal. Monthly billing only — no annual commitment to unwind. You keep access through the end of the period, then drop to Free. Everything you have already mapped stays visible and movable; if you are at or above 150 mapped issues you simply cannot map more until you remove some or resubscribe. Nothing is deleted.

Who is on the invoice?

Link, Stripe’s merchant-of-record service. StoryMap sells through it, so VAT, GST and sales tax are calculated at checkout and remitted for you. Your receipt comes from Link, and the charge shows on your statement as LINK.COM followed by our descriptor.
